How we Roll…
So where does RoadwayEdge it’s SquadClubs come in?
Think of RoadwayEdge as the backbone — the infrastructure and philosophy guiding how we move, connect, and operate. It’s more than just a name; it’s our rally point. It’s the edge where past experience meets forward momentum. For those of us who lived the rhythm of the road — escorts, PSDs, commercial enforcement, boots on the pavement, radios chirping, everything from long shifts to laughter on midnight details — we know how deep those ties run. SquadClubs honors that bond by giving it a digital home.
SquadClubs was born from the idea that even after retirement, we never stop showing up for each other. We just shift our tools — from radios and code calls to keyboards and coffee chats.
We’ve put in the time. We’ve held the line. Now, we’ve earned the right to lead this new chapter on our own terms.
Each Group and Group Space is curated with intention — driven by shared experience and maintained with respect. Whether it’s a space for ‘Motors’ who want to relive the golden rides, ‘Dispatchers who miss the cadence of controlled chaos, or those working the tactical planning side of PSD routes — there’s room at the table for everyone. These aren’t just forums. These are firesides.
And yes, we call them Founders for a reason. Because just like back then, when the call came in, you didn’t wait — you rolled out. That same spirit lives here. Founders are the first ones to show up, the ones who shape the tone, set the culture, and gently nudge others toward openness, reflection, and laughter.
Perks? Sure. Profile badges, first-look at new features, exclusive invites — but honestly, the biggest perk is purpose. Getting a chance to give back by mentoring someone transitioning out, or simply reconnecting with someone who knows what “CTC II-90” really means… that’s priceless.
Looking Ahead…
If this feels like your tribe — or if it feels like it could be — then consider this your invitation. Not just to join, but to shape it. SquadClubs isn’t just a social space. It’s a living archive of a people who hone our department’s legacy — built by those who lived it, served it, and still believe in it.
If you’re already here: welcome home.
If you’re still thinking about it: we’ll leave the porch light on.

CTC II-90
If we’ve worked together, crossed paths on the line-up, shared the road, or just nodded in passing — this message is for you.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats in my career. But some of my most meaningful roles during my time on patrol were:
-
Motor Officer
-
Occupational Safety Supervisor
-
Public Affairs Officer / Area Squad Club President
That last role came with the tough responsibility of hearing and sharing the news when a friend, colleague, or member of our extended surf family passed on. And over time, those names and memories have grown — and so has the weight.
Why I Created This Space…
Recently, I was given the chance to reflect — on the stories, the friendships, and the chapters that shaped me. And I realized something important:
Time and distance don’t just fade the memories… they deepen the sense of loss.
Too many meaningful connections have drifted, not because they didn’t matter, but because life happened. Because social media isn’t the same as real connection. Because we got busy, grew older, and maybe even grew apart.
That’s why I’ve built this site — a place for us.
Introducing the Client Portal Project…
In 2024 and now into 2025, a few close friends and I have spent hours sharing memories, telling stories, and reflecting on the good ol’ days. Again and again, we kept saying:
“We need a place to revisit these stories… to comment, to reconnect, to remember — on our own time.”
So we rolled up our sleeves and built it — off social media and designed for our community.
We poured in time, sweat, and heart, creating a platform with purpose. One that reflects our shared values:
-
Relevance
-
Purposeful Design
-
Limited, Intentional Access
-
A Simple Code of Conduct
-
Continuous Improvement
-
Trust, Honesty & Integrity
If those principles resonate with you, you’re already part of the community we’re trying to build.
Why This Matters Now…
Since retiring and raising a family, I’ve faced the challenge of redefining life after a deeply rewarding and demanding career. It hasn’t been easy.
I’ve always preferred face-to-face communication. But as time moves on, and technology races ahead, it’s hard not to feel like we’re being left behind — or drowned out in all the noise.
And with artificial intelligence and algorithms in control, how do we stay grounded in what’s real?
Think back to the deep conversations you had with a partner, colleague, teacher, parent, or elder. Those moments mattered. They still do.
That’s the heart of what this platform is about: meaningful connection.
What’s Next?
This is a space for us to reconnect, remember, and be part of something that feels real again — a digital campfire of sorts, fueled by shared experience and mutual respect.
If you believe in showing up with integrity, honoring history, and building community with purpose — then you belong here.
